Mana Tiaki is an urban Māori whānau network that welcomes families to join our roopu. Our tamariki learn kapahaka and through our noho and other social events build whakawhanaungatanga within our community. Based in Tawa but embracing whanau from all areas of Wellington, Mana Tiaki is a pan iwi whanau.
Our whānau come from all across the motu of Aotearoa. We currently have a small staff who administer and tutor kapahaka.
They are well supported by many parents and extended whanau.
Mana Tiaki is governed by an executive komiti and a foundation board.

Hold fast to our culture, for without language, without mana and without land, the essence of being Maori would no longer exist.
